Day 0 - Arrival

We landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) just before sunrise. After leaving the plane, while walking through the tunnel, it certainly wasnt cold for that time of the morning. The tunnel takes you to a satellite building where you need to take a train to the main building. This Aerotrain as they call it, is a very fast train. Some of us bought Celcom prepaid sim cards at a kiosk at the airport. Its much cheaper to use sim cards from Malaysia than to activate roaming on your sim card. This was about 7 ringit each and was preloaded with 5 ringit airtime. For most of us it was our first time in Malaysia, and the weather will take some time getting used to. The humidity hit us when leaving the airconditioned building of the airport. We were welcomed by a few of the Petronas corporate affairs staff. We boarded a bus that took us to our place of residence for the during of our trip - The Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

When we arrived at the hotel our bags were taken into our room while we all had to check-in. Then it was the welcome speeches and handing out of our name tags and other material. By this time everyone was eagerly waiting to go to our rooms and relax. Breakfast at the hotel is served until 10h30.
